I recently added a D-LINK DUB-H7 to my macbook. The usb hub works fine when my macbook pro starts up but after the laptop goes into sleep mode I will experience either problems with a few of the devices connected not responding or all of the devices not responding. The only solution seems to be a reboot of my macbook pro.

Does anyone know if this problem is Mavericks related or if there is something I can do within the system to prevent the connection from being lost when waking my Mac from sleep mode? I was having the same problem with my USB hub after connecting an audio interface that used up one of my USB ports on my MacBook Pro. I connected the hub to the other computer port. That's when all the trouble started with trying to come out of sleep mode. My solution was to connect my keyboard directly to the computer port and then daisy chain the hub out of the USB port on the keyboard. It seems that you need to have your input devices on the first part of the chain.

I hope that's helpful Cheers. Apple Footer. This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
