Sidekick 4 (for Mac Pcmag.com
The original t-mobile sidekick was released back in october 2002 (see ), and it was my first venture into mobile data access. That device hooked me into wireless data and now i can't get enough of it. T-mobile officially announced the release of the today. There will be an exclusive vip party where the device will be kicked off later tonight, and it will be available to buyers this fall. The sidekick ii is 25% thinner and now includes an integrated camera and enhanced battery life. There are some new games and a bump in the number of contacts you can store, now up to 2,000. Messenger can now be used, with aim already integrated into the device.
One of the biggest improvements that help make it more useful as a pda is the upcoming software that will allow you to wirelessly sync with your desktop contact and calendar info. This syncing software will also work with earlier sidekick versions. No pricing info or an exact release date is available. User comments 117 comment(s) is it smart? I know there are smartphones out there but sidekick is just flat out slicker. Only wish msn messenger was on it and not the crappy aol/yahoo – by eh does it sync. It wont kill you to use a wireled headset or buy one of those magnetic-induction thingies. – by tzone for the most part (4:52pm est tue jan 04 2005) i like my sidekick ii the font is very small in the browser, of course i need glasses and don't want them. Some sites take a long time to access, which is frustrating, half the time i start to access a site, and after a minute or two of “connecting” “requesting” i put it away and check later to see if the site is up. I'm hoping a better network will be available for the sk2, it's a great device.

Why is that my motorolla v300 held a s@#t load of ringers? But still i love my sk2 and hope that one day java script will be able to be downloaded to the phone at least i hope. All in all its worked out pretty good i think i wouldnt like it smaller unless the keyboard stayed the same size i have bug fingers. My fiancee has the motorola a630 nice phone to but the keyboard is smaller and it doesnt have real browsing.
Only complaint i have so far today is the delay in sending pop mail with pics takes up to like 4 minutes. Maybe its dangers server i dunno.
But i like this lil thing sk2 nice! Maybe the next version will have touchscree,bluetooth,mem port,java,flash. Is it that much to ask?

They said they can't leak out to much so i can't give u guys details all i know it is coming out 2006 janurary-june not a very good date but as i said they wouldn't tell me much. They better have java, flash, touchscreen, bluetooth oh and maybe a card slot for expansions and memory inputs oh and a built in mp3 player would be awsome.
