Hi everyone, For nearly two years with only a once in a time problem I am syncing a G5, a Powerbook, two iPods and a Tungsten T3 for contacts, iCal, Bookmarks and Keychains using iSync,.Mac and Missing Sync without any flaws. Last week I installed the recent Soho Notes, for the feature of now being able to sync notes, rather than going through an between computers backup, found my interest. The following happened after I selected all syncing options in Notes' preferences: At first I had a couple of unusual alerts which contact, calendar entry or note to keep (.mac or soho sync), then they became more, eventually giving me a choice of three. To sum it up, in the end the whole syncing bit stopped working (except for notes), iCal on both machines started stalling after startup and I spent an afternoon resettting my machines for a working sync for iCal, Adressbook, and the other Mac files. Only then did I dare to reactivate note syncing, though I refrained from integrating sohos options to participate in contact and calendar syncing (which would be neccessary to keep links to contacts intact). Though I do not want to outrule the possibility of having had some hidden corruption within my syncing setup, I also see the possibility of a flaw within Soho's part of the syncing scheme.

Anyone with experience out there? Although I cannot be certain, because I will allow no Chronos application but SOHO Labels & Envelopes which I seldom launch anywhere near my PowerBook, I would place the blame squarely upon them, and upon SOHO Notes. There is an active Macintosh PIM group on Google which pretty much slices and dices Chronos on a daily basis - I can hardly tell you how little they are liked, and how disdainfully most users view their present product lineup and support. You might want to asks someone there about this: I notice that that the group has been recently hit by spammers.

Yikes - is nothing sacred? Hi Michael, just answered you post in the other thread on the PC/Mac sync via Palm in the other thread. Did expect to see an answer from you, after already having read a comment on Soho software from you. Thanks for your advice regarding the google board, will check that one out, not tonight though, it's become fairly late here. As I put in my original post, things work fine now and I am also pretty certain, the problem was caused by Soho Sync, which is why for now I leave it solely on syncing notes, so it does not interfer with the other.mac syncs.

Just hoping to hear from someone with experience with this conduit if it's definitely to blame or some corruption in my files which just remained unnoticed for long. The only Chronos product I use is former Sticky Brains, now Soho Notes with little difference except for the syncing feature for notes I guess Labels & Envelopes should be the equivalent of Belight's Mail Factory which I use and for the few times I need it, am happy with.
